Mia Vermillion has gained regional and national attention with performances that include: the largest blues festival on the west coast, the Safeway Waterfront Blues festival, in a lineup that listed Buddy Guy, Curtis Salgado, and Patrick Lamb; and two nights at Seattle’s premier venue Jazz Alley, opening for Grammy nominee and Blues Hall of Fame inductee John Hammond. “Vermillion is a fresh and welcome arrival on the blues (and jazz) scene… she infuses her singing with more humidity than Ma Rainey and more sex than Lena Horn,” according to AllAboutJazz.com’s Michael Bailey. Here’s what people are saying:

“Vermillion’s silky alto is something so seductive and smooth that you can almost feel yourself being seduced through the speakers – and you’ll give in, let me tell you!” - Ben Cox, Juke Joint Soul

“Singer Mia Vermillion, from Washington State, stands as one of the most talented, with her silky sensuous vocals. Alone Together With the Blues is a splendid set of early jazz and blues by one of the best vocalists I’ve heard in a while.” - Graham Clarke, Blues Bytes

“I like the disc a lot and so does the audience. Thanks for making us sound good.” - Bill Wax, Program Director and Host of ‘B.B. King’s Bluesville’, Channel 74 on XM Radio
